Well the first of the year.

What do we think we will get from this? Difficult place to go and win points plus they have a team with strong players. I do wonder how many were covid positive and had to isolate. Might suffer from lack of training.
Here is hoping our lads step on from last week.

Wasps fans there make noise for us.

I’d be delighted and a little surprised if we win. Can’t see any reason why we can’t score a few tries and make it close and come away with at least a point. On balance I’d be content with that.

Hoping they're suffering from not being able to train properly, but they've got a lot of front line players, so probably not too disrupted. We nearly always struggle up there, and with the disruption at across the backline, I don't think it'll be much different.

LBP would be nice. LBPs are also always that little bit frustrating, since it clearly means you were within a score, so maybe grab it with the last play of the game.

A LOT of missed tackles from Wasps. Le Bourgeois not having a good start, some very poor decision making, one of which led to a 50m Sale break.

That all came from Le Bourgeois choosing to faff around with the ball in midfield, and throw it wildly out of the tackle so it bounced off someone's head and Sale went forwards.

Sadly no on field management to change receiver position at KO. Fifita consistently too deep.

Our kick off we give them the ball.
Their kick off we give them the ball.

Fifita making life difficult for us.

And Jimmy hits the fecking upright.

The wind is making it drop short for them and long for us. We should be handling it better, but it's understandabl.

Tackling optional, it seems. We work so hard for our points, but give them away so easily, it's so frustrating.

Easier said than done of course, but the way to beat Sale is to move them around as much as we can, and half the team seem to be trying to throw offloads and half the team seem to be planning to play a different game.

Why didn't we kick those points?

Worrying that we're playing with the wind and will have to kick into this second half.

The commentary team think the wind is in our favour this half.  ??!!??

It is. So when we take a restart, it goes deep into their half so we can't compete. When they take one it drops short on us, and closer to them.
