I cannot think there is a Wasps fan who isn't shouting at the Elephant in the room. Recruitment. We know some names are off (and hope, for reasons of persistent injury absence or poor form, others will be released), and, looking at who we can promote from our Academy, we are woefully short in the backs. I mean, seriously, woefully short.

I’m sure the recruitment is in hand. Blackett and his team will know what we need. I’m not sure we’re that thin in the backs but we’ll certainly need some new bodies.

I think Koch's arrival next season might be a bit of a reach for why we should be optimistic for the rest of this one. Likewise, having key players back by the end of January, when we are already more than half way through the season, doesn't seem like too much of a reason to be cheerful. Maybe it's a reason to be optimistic that things can't get any worse?
