Day One in Court
« on: June 26, 2018, 06:17:35 PM »
Nice to see that our tenants want us to pay an extra £27m plus they would like a 50/50 share of the Ricoh. Let's see what Day Two will bring!
Let me tell you something cucumber

Interesting point made by CCC silk that CCC only owned half of the stadium, the other half was owned by the Higgs Charity. Nothing metioned by SISU in any of their history of utterings about Higgs.

Yeah, pay CCC £27m or SISU would be 'willing' to take on a 50% share of the Ricoh! Couldn't make it up.

They know Wasps can't afford £27m so it's obvious what their end-game is; distress Wasps and get the stadium on the cheap, their modus operandi really.

I'd guess it's actually going to be pay the council £27m, or we'll take half the stadium, which we can sell back to you straight away for £25m.

Basically pay £27m or pay £25m (or some other slightly smaller sum).

However, so far the court case really doesn't seem to be in their favour.  The suggestion that the stadium should be valued at the value it has when Wasps are already tenants, is ludicrous. It's like trying to charge £5 to rent an empty pint glass, because it could be filled with beer in the future.
