I think we are missing to many players to win on Saturday but we have had some good results recently so you never know

Yes, has to be Fifita 6, Morris 7 and Carr 8 for me.

I'm actually worried about our back row for next season.
We know we're losing Young and Fifita, and to my knowledge haven't made any significant signings in those positions.

In paper it looks great.
6. Shields
7. Jack
8. Tom or Alfie with the other on the bench

Our best game always feels like it's reliant on our back row. Whether it's slowing ball down, or more commonly making turnovers and punching holes.

With Alfie and potentially Jack involved with England next season, we'll see matchday squads featuring Gaskell, Morris and/or Curran

They're fine to have as cover, but there will be a significant drop off at 7 without Jack.
As much as Morris doesn't let us down, he's also not a match winner in the way the others are.
Curran is obviously hugely inexperienced at this level

And this is before we consider any injuries.
I really think we need some extra quality for next season

Nizam Carr has struggled a bit since his return, probably back to back seasons.  We know he’s a quality player so hopefully the 3 game break will have a,lower him to recharge his batteries.

I think our back row will hold its own, as will the tight 5, the concern for me is going to be the centres and full back.

Yeah, I think back row we’ll be OK. Carr covers all three positions. When Frost is fit Oghre can cover 7 as well. As well as Curran we have Pichardie in the wings too.

Curran is an unknown quantity but the little bits we have seen look promising. Carr will do a good job when he’s fresh. I think we’ll be ok but we do need the likes of Curran to start getting some game time. FB worries me a little as for me we only have Crossdale that I’d trust or Atkinson but I’d prefer him at 10.

I'd forgotten about Carr.
He's certainly a quality player.
I know that we can't have stars everywhere... I just think that for our game plan, the quality of the entire back row is key

Carr hasn't played that much, really.  Largely used off of the bench.

But he did play a full season down under right up to their final. Should be nicely refreshed!

Given that Thomas Young going must have been known about for some time I would expect a signing has been lined up fill his boots.
