2 good tries from Quins, we have had possession but not much penetration. However wind was in favour of Quins in that half. Is it a 9 point advantage? I’m not sure. However we need to tighten up on oppo line out, scrum and maul to have a chance in the second forty. Quins good value for their lead.

Why that last scrum penalty went to Quins is beyond me. Biyi had Marler on toast.

The big difference between the teams is that their backs and centres look like they play together week in, week out. Ours look like they they rarely get the chance to play together.

I'm not watching, so 2 questions.

Who is taking the place kicks?
How's the front row holding up?

We’ve not really fired a shot. Decent possession first quarter but no end product. We’re still in it but the next score is key. Games like this where 3 points are crucial are where our place kicking fragility may cost us.

Jacob and I would say that our front row is better, if the scrum is being reffed correctly.

Okay. Okay.
Joe Marler is having a good game.
Alo is currently coming second best. Our scrum is usually our strength, and it’s faltering a bit so far.
Also with Oggre on so early, we lose some dynamic later in the game.

It’s windy guys…so everyone is a bit confused how to play the game.
Quins too, but they’ve figured it out quicker than us.

We need to use Paulo like they’re using Estiazhen.
Only Tom Willis is really making yards.
And when camped near their try line (which we occupied for some time) we were too flat and lacking either craft…or a runner from deep.

Jacob looks okay at 15….and is trying to make things happen.
Charlie is struggling with the wind a bit more…and isn’t quite as composed as in some previous matches.
We have to remember we have some young guys out there.

Mills has been solid in defence, as has Spink. But not much chance of clicking going forward.

Dan has struggled to influence the game as much as he can. A few clever kicks, but he needs players coming from deeper and playing off him. Hitting the angles.

Fifita, not his best. But not bad.
The others…all on par, no better
Lineout is solid though, so we have a platform.

Just needs a good half time team talk and more rugby intelligence in the second half, with the wind favouring us slightly.

Come on Wasps.

Ryan Mills won turnover penalty in Wasps 22 just before half-time. Could be a lifesaver.

Tom Willis is making useful yards every time he takes it on.

Jacob worries me every time they kick to him.

Line out looks solid. Fifita needs to get in the game more.

Oggre has to check his ego.
He too often takes the ball further in a maul situation than is necessary.

We don’t get any advantage.
In fact we lessen our options.

All that was caused by Robson missed kick. That's the problem with kick tennis.

Quins try.

Everyone at fault.

As an observation, I like Jacob at 10. But he’s not a 15.
He’s too lightweight over any ruck situation.

We’re in pieces.

Holes everywhere.

Paulo having a poor game. Everything so disjointed all of a sudden.
I just really hope Jack Willis doesn’t try and win this game on his own and over stretch himself.

Bonus point try. Jack is on. Fifita broken hand?

Damn.
