International call ups
« on: October 04, 2018, 07:59:51 AM »
The more I think about it, the more I think the call up of our African players is a great thing for Wasps. My only concern is injury. Dai seems very supportive and I think players finding or returning to international recognition whilst at Wasps is great for retention and recruitment. It must also be motivational for the players in the squad to see players around them being recognised. The call ups also give other players a chance to show what they can do, whilst Dai can say he has picked the strongest team available. There may be the odd lost point, but long term it has to be positive.

Agree 100%. Great compliment to Wasps and Dai. One recent signing of a former international that has caught my eye is Kieran Brookes. Seemed to lose his way and will at Saints under Dorian West. Has impressed me at tight head with us this season and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he is now back on the edge of England's radar.
