Shame , especially as match has been much better than Sale/ Briz offering.

Think the only highlight of that match was a relative won a signed shirt in the half time kicking comp. Reckon she needed to stay on for the second half.

Well done to England women .

Toulouse v Ulster was pretty good, with the French commentator referring to Thibaud as ‘Hercule Flament’ - playing at 7 today.
What is the betting the Toulouse win heavily in Ulster and progress.
Currently Biarritz are 12:9 ahead against Toulon. This may affect our position.

And referred to him passing through Wasps - usually omitted.

Currently 17 - 17.

Amy updates on Dow's injury? She hasn't posted on Twitter and can't find an update by searching

Both Tib and Fib broken.  Possibly better for getting going again providing soft tissue ok.

I wonder if she might be under Henley in Arden for medical Rehab?

These fractures are usually 'spiral' [rotational injury creates spiral break] so if in the right hands [in the west country?] an anatomical reduction means rapid healing as the soft tissues are not directly injured, and the 'envelope' that provides the blood supply should be intact.

Very useful having a medic on this site!  Poor girl was screaming in pain.  Pain was bad enough when I tore my AC at rugby.  This must have been horrendous.  Wish you well Abby.

Who is the go-to guy for lower limb trauma these days?

I think for this type of injury I would steer clear of the Fortius type self-promoters and go with a big centre trauma surgeon. Nottingham, Leeds, Bristol. Coventry has some good guys [maybe gals as well].

Thanks for the expert insight Backdoc, I was at the match and the injury looked horrendous. Without any announcement there was lots of speculation; someone saw that they had removed her boot and sock so assumed an ankle injury, when the second spinal stretcher was brought on we thought a bad back problem. Whilst horrible and clearly from Abby's screams very painful, a break does give here a slim chance of being fit for the World Cup in October whilst an ACL or ankle reconstruction would make it impossible. She really deserves to be there, fantastic player. Fingers crossed she gets some expert care and is back on a rugby pitch making those fabulous arcing runs and fending off defenders for fun as soon as possible.

Agreed. She is utterly fearless as a player and a joy to watch.
