I'm looking forward to next season. I really fancy our chances to be in the mix, for at least the playoffs next year.

For me the jury's out on the backs. Maybe a  better scrum will improve things, but I'm really not sure. Also WHW could either add competition at 10, or be a waste as we probably needed a reliable experienced 10, but we won't know until next season. I'm still unsure where we're at, whilst the signings are pretty good.

He's still showing in their senior academy as:

Height: 5ft 8ins.
Weight: 13 stone 4 pounds.

Presumably because he's stuck in the academy is why he's moving.

On the contrary it looks like he’s already achieved a lot - had a good rugby grounding at Sedburgh School, played for England U20 and this season he’s already played 19 times for Newcastle, 15 Premiership matches,  starting in 9, 6 off the bench.

And at 5’8”, he’s 2” taller than Marcus Smith - who I would suggest seems to have done pretty well this season.

Looks a solid signing. I reckon a scrap between him and Atkinson for 10 with Umaga at 15 but obviously able to cover 10. We have numbers at 15 should he have to do so in Crossdale and Miller. Quite a savvy acquisition.
