Well it's back up, so if we don't make a concerted effort to carry on having conversations here this place will die off again and then the next time DW goes down there won't be a decent alternative again.
If people really do want to try to make this place a viable alternative in the same way ShedWeb is for Glaws then we need to do several things.
1) Keep posting here. It's tough sometimes when we have such a small group here, but the more it looks like conversation is happening the more likely people are to stay when the come and take a look.
2) Mention it. There is an option to put links in signatures over on DW, linking to this pace is going to help. If you post in Facebook groups post links to here.
3) Link to here from there. If there is a discussion here, rather than replicate it over there simply put up a link to it and then hopefully people will follow.
4) Make sure I know any issues, problems, or suggestions about this place. The better we can make it, the more likely it is to be used.
I don't think DW will die, and to be honest I have some affection for it so I hope it doesn't. But I do think Sportsnetwork are a terrible organisation with a terrible platform, and so I'd like to have a decent alternative to there as it will undoubtedly go down again and again.
