Something has to change to achieve those expectations.

We look like lost sheep at times when the wheels fall off.

To me that falls to the leaders on the pitch to fix it. It just is not happening.

Expectations

To see the squad play as a team for the full 80.  Often we go hairem scareem and panic seems to set in, the ball gets throw around, off loads made when they just need to go into contact , set up and then play.  Some of that control perhaps comes from experience but some should come from on field leadership and coaching.  You don't win a game in the first 30 minutes, the Biaritz game nearly showed that.

Silverware is hard won.  The Prem is a lottery decided by one 80 minute winner takes all game. We have the bitter sweet experience of that, Quins have shown finishing 4th can still see you win the final. Europe is dominated now by other nations so we have to box clever. No point finishing 8th because you then draw Leinster and the Top 14 champions in the CC. Demoralising for everyone to get beaten in the opening rounds. Better of course to get 6th but if we cant do that settle for 9th and build in the Challenge Cup.

We are building so its our time to look at where we can get some success rather than go all out to try and win everything.

The problems generally seem to happen when we bring on the replacements.

There is nothing in the laws to say replacements have to take the field, and we have shown, quite often, that "starters" can last quite well.

Start using the replacements as injury replacements, and only bring them on, otherwise, if a starter is shown to be well off key.

Surely this could be awkward if the oppo bring on fresh legs?

Quite often the 'bench' has turned round a losing game and produced a win, simply by being different in their approach. OK, it doesn't always work that way but  more often it does  -  fresh legs, new attitude, enthusiasm to get on the field.

My expectations are very general.
Play entertaining open rugby.
Have a scrum that adequately contests set pieces.
Try hard.
Have a smile on your face whilst playing.

Mako and Koch do alright playing 70 minutes plus

When we have a tighthead depth of Koch Ryan and Also that sort of thing is unacceptable. Saracens can't do that because they now have a massive difference in quality between Mako + Koch and their replacement props.

They are also two world class players capable of sustaining higher than average performances over that length of time.

I've never rated Mako as a scrummaging prop. Any half decent TH should take him apart.
