BT sport app works if use the data on you phone. You can hotspot to your laptop or tablet.

Thank you. I have already tried to use it indoors on both my phone an iPad and BT says I can't use because I am in the UK. I will take my iphone out the wifi range and see what happens!

I've noticed apps getting a bit wiser to VPNs by using the GPS of a device to work out its location. This is easy enough to fix on an Android device. I use a free Fake GPS app on my tablet, which has enabled me to use the Sky Go app with a VPN in Madeira and Israel. No idea whether you can do this on an Apple device though. Also I'm not aware of which VPN works with the BT Sport app. There's only one I've found that Sky Go doesn't block (https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/)
