Why wasn’t that knock on a yellow card? It was as deliberate as they get.

Knock on should have been yellow? We’re stifling them well. I’m a bit worried about Alo and West going off. I feel we need a sizeable lead at the point they go off. Robson back at it this week.

Excellent first half by Wasps. Looking very much a match for Lyon physically, and playing most of the rugby.

Hope they can sustain it in this heat, because they are working bloody hard out there.

Considering the heat and the intensity of tackling all over the pitch, I’m proud of the lads.
Probably left a few points out there, but it’s tough conditions.

Space is definitely going to open up in the 2nd half.
Porter, Spink and Zach can add some zip into the spaces.
And excited to see Tom Willis come on, because Alfie has struggled a bit at the back of the scrum.

But, they’ve got a good bench too, so defence is going to be everything.
And they have to stay cohesive and keep communicating well, otherwise holes will open up and the structure could fall to pieces as the heat kicks in.

Discipline…and take the chances on offer.

Slightly off the wall question: Is it better to have all white kit rather than all black kit in hot and sunny conditions?

Yes, but its more important to have kit that's breathable.

I imagine the Wasps shirts of the 80’s and 90’s at the annual Middlesex 7’s tournament must have got very hot and probably held a ton of sweat!

Lyon coach is probably giving them a rousing team talk and tweaking their game plan - so expecting them to come at us with ferocity. We’ll need to ride out that storm then hopefully put the points on the board if we’re going to clinch this. But so far so good.

Very tight so far. Think we've got the slight upperhand in the scrum and maul going OK. Just worried that a small slip and with their ball carriers they can make it a try. Got to keep the focus up as we are currently out-working them.
