OT - Was Fury robbed?
« on: December 02, 2018, 10:28:20 AM »
I don't know if anyone else has an opinion on the boxing, but I think the attitude of the fighters after the end of the last round said it all.  Fury knew he'd got it, and WIlder didn't seem convinced at all.

It has the feel of Lewis and Holyfield all over again.  Let's se a rematch in the UK and see how that one ends.

Boxing has, and always will be, subject to a lot of dodgy money being passed behind closed doors. It is only 'obvious' when you see two of the three judges scoring so badly off what actually happened. I am not sure it makes me sad though. It is what that sport is and always has been. Horse racing is a little better, but not much.

Boxing, at this level, is not a sport, but entertainment.

I didn't see it, but it doesn't sound like many agree with the draw.

However, being knocked down in 2 of the last 4 rounds suggests that Wilder may have been finishing stronger... But that's not a requirement of the scoring
