OT: Rammstein CBS gig was so loud it could be heard eleven miles away!

No idea why bands need to be that loud. Sound systems are so much better nowadays.

I was at the Killers gig earlier this month (Emirates not CBS) 4 rows from the front near the main speakers and my hearing was not affected at all.

Same when I saw Status Quo 8 or 9 years ago. In earlier days they were known to be really loud.

I wonder how the revenue is worked.  Do they hire the venue?  Or do they take a percentage of the ticket sales?  How about the vast quantities of beer that must have been drunk?
