I’d doesn’t say whether he’s signed or not. They could be looking at him as a potential signing or possibly allowing him to train with the team to maintain rugby fitness as he looks for a club?

Yes I kind of thought the latter.
Let me tell you something cucumber

Could be a short term cover for Stooke. The MLR season doesn't start again until the new year.

He could train anywhere. With him having been in the USA for a few years, he would have no UK 'home' base, so his parent's house would be most likely, and that is up in Sale country. Tryout, maybe. He is very much like Will Rowlands ...

Would he be wearing Wasps' kit if he wasn't part of the club?

I thought about that and concluded the sponsors probably don’t care if he’s signed or not they’ll want their logo on all club social media and other PR shots.

Yes, I suppose it would look a bit odd if someone appeared in a Wasps' photoshoot wearing his own tatty T shirt😀

I think it’s more likely he’s signed as Blaze referenced three new players in training.

Last sentence of that article "The Premiership is preparing to change their limits on overseas talent in 2024" is something that had passed me by.

Published a couple of months ago. One thing that might offer a wrinkle is a separate agreement outside of the previous EU freedom to work agreement, ended with Brexit, is that the UK and Eire I think still have a similar agreement, which might allow Irish players to still play.

Spoke to a friend of mine who knows him, confirmed that he's trialling/short term contract (assuming whilst Stooke is out).

Also, what does he qualify as, is he overseas?

He went to Wolgarston High School and played for Stafford RFC and Stoke on Trent RUFC before Uni in America. So i suppose technically he's English and therefore wouldn't be overseas as didn't take up residency for USA. I'd imagine if he doesn't make it with us, he will go back to get residency or try to.

For us he'll count as an EQP as he hasn't been capped by another country.

If he is in the UK for more than 62 days and then returns to the USA, he would have to start again in terms of qualifying through residency and he would have to wait for 5 years, which would make him 30/31 by the time he is eligible for the USA.
