Mills is really fine, I have zero doubts about his ability to play 10 in an emergency, it is his injury record I worry about. Fingers crossed he stays fit, answering 12 and 10 backup conundra.

Of course. That’s his priority - be in the mix more often than not.

There's no way Dodson will go out on loan whilst our depth at lock is so shallow.

Supposedly off to Ampthill.

Interestingly, despite the revamp of the first team page on the website with new kit photos and some interesting position descriptions for some, De Chaves is still listed.
I know he obviously left when the US season started again last year but wonder if he could be due back as a medical joker in the short term.

Most commentators predict us 10th to 8th, I look at everyone elses' backs and think they have us on paper. Up front we look good, but there are plenty of good packs out there.
We might look at someone like Bassett and say, great hard worker, would not swap him for anyone, but other clubs won't be looking at their up and coming wingers and saying 'wish we had a Bassett'. We really need to see minimal injuries at 10, 12 and 13, and already look dodgy on the first.

Sporting index have Wasps in 9th place (but it is very close between 7th and 10th place) for the regular season odds:

https://www.sportingindex.com/spread-betting/rugby-union/gallagher-premiership/group_a.3a291d8a-614f-4dce-a3e8-33519d405174/gallagher-premiership-regular-season-index-2022-23

I think spread prices are a better indication because you can bet both ways (whereas fixed odds you can only back to do well (not to do badly)).

Saracens -   38   41
Leicester Tigers -   31   33
Exeter Chiefs -   22   25
Harlequins -   21   24
Gloucester -   16   19
Northampton Saints -   13   16
Sale -   13   16
Bristol -   12   15
Wasps -   11   14
London Irish -   10   13
Bath -   3   5
Newcastle Falcons -   0.1   1
Worcester Warriors -   0   0.5

A prediction on the league standings at the end of the regular season.
Winner = 60pts, Runner-up = 40pts, Third = 30pts,
Fourth = 25pts, Fifth = 20pts,
Sixth = 15pts, Seventh = 10pts,
Eighth = 5pts. All others = 0.
Season Index will be settled according to points gained on the pitch and will not include any points deductions.

Most likely an error that he hasn't been deleted. He's joined Newcastle for the new season: https://www.newcastlefalcons.co.uk/news/story/sebastian-de-chaves-returns-to-newcastle-falcons

Oops 😬 should have spotted that one earlier!
Hopefully Theo and Launchbury are back soon or we may well need some short term cover again
