All the best to him. Sounds like he’s recovering which is good.

All the best for the future, Kenny. I was diagnosed with prostrate cancer in 2012, had radiotherapy in 2013. Now 9 years later, the Royal Marsden have discharged me to my GP to keep an eye on me. So far, it seems to be behaving itself.🤞🏼👍🏼🖖🏼

Hopefully everything goes well for Kenny and his family.

Legend and Top Bloke!

I've heard him speak very well about his dyslexia issues as well so a great inspiration to many people I think.

I'm definitely thinking from his story and other comments that I need to get this checked as well as the big six zero is coming up next year!

I had bladder surgery in 1995. The consultant urologist who did the job told me that he had a 'nibble' at my prostate whilst he was performing the op. He advised me to get a PSA check done every year, which I subsequently have done. The PSA level has been flatlining around 0.3 for 27 years. If it spiked then I know that I have a potential problem.

I would urge everyone of a certain age to demand a test every year.

Good luck Kenny!

I have attached a link to the prostate cancer uk site for anyone interested and also a International prostate symptom score that we use to assess symptoms of possible prostate problems. I would not recommend blindly having a PSA blood test as a raised result can have many causes. What is good though is to be aware of urinary symptoms, family history, and if you have concerns have a chat with one of us lot that work in your surgery so we can help further.
