So there are some very successful individuals in the Legends but a start from scratch job like this needs some serious money. All the previous owners have decent net worth but I wonder if there is big cash coming in from anywhere else? Either way, I’m just grateful to those putting their shoulders (and wallets) to the wheel.

Last time I saw Steve Hayes was at the meeting at Marlow Crowne Plaza called to explain the move to Coventry.

He was very vocal in supporting the move.

Can I ask an extremely naive question?

If the the training ground is owned separately, the stadium is too, the players and staff are
all redundant, the P share is gone and there are zero assets, probably not even a tackle bag then what are the administrators actually selling?
Just the brand and rights to the name?
In essence you’re not buying anything - you’re setting something up.
It appears that they’re agreeing to payoff the rugby debts in return for the RFU letting them set up a professional rugby club that starts life in the Championship using the Wasps brand. I can’t think of anything else that has intrinsic value.
