He has been cited
How many weeks is it to the 6N?  That is the length of ban he is going to get.

England's first game is at home to Scotland in 4 weeks. That means he'll probably get 3 so he's still got at least 1 week in camp before the first game.  ;)

That's handy, Mid level offence - 6 weeks with 50% reduction due to being an England International not hurting puppies.

His last ban was 5 weeks (Charlie attack). It would be a travesty if he got any less this time.

That was a travesty. I re-looked at the incident which was running many metres, unsighted to straight arm into the head from behind. If you'd done that on the street......

It wasn't a misjudgement - it was a deliberate assault. Like the other night - when there was no attempt to wrap and was high.

Totally agree - still looks like a deliberate attack.

I had thought for half a moment that his hearing had already happened and I'd guessed right - I was nearly out the door to get my lottery ticket  ;D

Presumably he'll get his punishment reduced if he attends a "how to tackle" course.

The very definition of a waste of time if he didn't learn anything from the one after he tried to separate Atkinson's head from his neck.

But since he plays for you-know-who he'll probably get off with a verbal apology through gritted teeth and a pat on the back.

Why should the RFU apologise to OF, through gritted teeth or otherwise?

For putting him through all the trials and tribulations in the first place?

Obviously the Citing officer didn’t get the memo.

That’s on the assumption no puppies are on the opposing side.

Stephan Jones has written some nonsense in The Times but it is behind their paywall.

It was the usual 'all Saracens players are saints', as is Wray etc. etc. Why is everyone being so beastly to this poor lad who has done nothing wrong ....

In his Tweets, he is still defending Cheats over the cap ban etc. saying they were hard done by.

Still, in fairness, if you earn a living from Pro Rugby Union in England, supporting what is likely to be the last team that doesn't go bust seems like a good bet.

Monye on the Beeb website:

Former Harlequins wing Ugo Monye says he would be "staggered" if England captain Owen Farrell is banned for the start of the Six Nations next month.

Looks like another slap on the wrist with a wet lettuce coming up.

Oh look at that. The ban is for Saracens matches only, not England's two matches that fall before the last match of the ban...
