Jonny Hill rumoured to be in the squad to play Wales due to injuries, despite missing out on the WC squad. Would take Launch, even lacking full match fitness, any day over Hill.

Launch did return to play at the end of the Japanese season. Playing in Japan doesn't seem to harm the selection choices of any of the Springboks or ABs playing over there.

Launch has played a hand full of games since Wasps went under and those were in Japan. However great he is as a player I wouldn't pick any player in those circumstances.

How was Dan playing at the end of last season? IIRC the reports were that he was playing well.

The implications of the selection is that if Dan had gone to Tigers he'd have been 3rd choice 9. I know I'm biased but that I don't believe.

The benchmark has been set with the likes of Cole, Youngs, Fat Billy, Ribbans and Tuilagi being included. If that?s the level at least a third of Wasps old squad should be in.
