Looks a good outcome for Wasps and Joe.

I think it looks with the changes in the team this season and for next season, we'll probably only start to see the team it is "next best" next season

That said, some continuity in terms of injuries (well, fitness!) ought to mean an improving season. Looking back I think its as much the loss of leaders this season as injuries, I don't think we quite "got" how much we'd miss them on the pitch. Hask, Thompson, Jimmy, etc plus the other injured.

Looking forwards to the next block and fingers crossed Vellacott is on his way.

Certainly a good signing. It will be sad to see Joe go, however.

The Vellacot rumour was doing the rounds last season (I think).. as was the ones about Simpson wanting to leave, which shows the lead time some DoR's are planning ahead for building their squads.

So the rule about not being able to speak to players before the Jan of their ending season contract seems to be pretty much ignored .. as possibly proved by the Daly rumour

Can't talk to the player, can talk to the agent.

It looks like Tom James (SH) from Doncaster is being lined up by Gloucester, however Wasps also linked with him but I think the majority of opinion bends towards Gloucester. So the Vellacott rumour appears at face value to be genuine and tbf it has been around a while, i am guessing Dai was waiting for the natural end of contract to occur.
It was fine when I left it.....
