Nice article on how well he is doing. Very little mention of Wasps bar saying he has already matched his appearances with Wasps despite being with us for 3 and a half years.

Also article on Malins about him fighting for his Sarries place.

Jacob will be playing at 15 again in the Carnegie match at home vs Ealing this afternoon.

Ealing are a tough team, so to win this one would move Carnegie firmly out of the relegation zone.

He's getting far more game time than with us - however promising he is.

Surely Dai will be looking to bring him back into the senior sqaud for next season? Could he fill the 15 shirt alongside Miller I wonder?

It didn't end well for Carnegie, Ealing put 29 unanswered points on them in the 2nd half, FT 7-29.

Surely the whole point of loaning him out was to get him game time? Sounds like it's working well.

It is, I am pleased he is getting game time and scoring regularly, both tries and from the tee. A FB has to be on the list, post WLR leaving, Jacob Umaga is shaping up nicely from what I read and see.

As long as nobody nicks him. He needs to be given some confidence that he has a future with Wasps. I hope they have sat with him and outline his potential future path on return to the club.

Despite Carnegie losing, Jacob was awarded MOTM. Here's an action photo. He has changed - he looks a meaner machine now:

Dai has signed and picked the top championship players, recently over promoting from within, or at least waiting until the academy bears fruit.
Now (even though we arguably have had before) we have a regular champ starter, who is really digging Carnegie out of a whole, who is young and belonging to our academy and ready to go in a position we need someone next year.
I would start him straight away next year and bring in a very experienced prem winger to play alongside him (sharples or Ashton type) with Bassett.

Would then rotate Sirker/James in too. They have to be the future in the backs along with giving Porter game time and continuing to see how the likes of Spink, Jardine, Simmonds and Atta get on.

These guys have to be given the faith and be seen as the future like the Willis bros are by Dai

He was given MoM by bbc leeds, so a home team pick as such, but still very nice to see.

I sort of agree, but what do you say to Miller, and any others that get benched? Really hard to manage.
