Wales v France
« on: February 01, 2019, 10:07:21 PM »
I think that's what they call a game of two halves. Wales at odds with themselves in the first half and then France lost it in the second half. Ferocious talking by most of the Welsh pack and rather less mistakes in the second half. The performances of Tuperic and Navadi show why TY has such competition for a place in the Welsh team. Not sure that George North deserved to be Man of the Match. Perhaps he won the award for being in the right place on two significant occasions.
Wales v England will be an interesting game in a couple of weeks.

It seemed like both teams were doing their hardest to throw that away.

The French scrum half seemed to get the ball away very quickly. The rain did look heavy. Enjoyed that though, exciting start to the championship.

As usual for France.
They did the same vs the Boks in the Autumn. They have been losing close games at home for years.

Great to see my lot get another win in Paris after the shenanegans of 2 years ago. First half was painful to watch, Wales struggling to get going and Good France playing some nice stuff.

However, you just know that Bad France will appear at some point and the second half was a complete role reversal with North pickpocketing them twice. Great comeback win and now a trip to Rome that will hopefully build some momentum.

Gotta love France. Was saying to father in law before game started that France at home 1st game would win comfortably. Sat smug at half time 16_0 up, eating humble pie 40 mins later ! Accompanied by lots of “what do you know about rugby ?” from him.  To be fair Tipuric and Navidi were different class

Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, all credit to Wales though, heads never dropped.
It was fine when I left it.....

Apologies for “ferociously talking” instead of tackling. Although we Welsh do tend to talk a lot
