Especially if they restricted the voting to players who have played, say, more than 50% of GP game minutes. Do we have a player who has done this? Josh Bassett, Juan de Jongh, Nizaam Carr, Tom Cruse, Will Rowlands, Ashley Johnson. Can't be many more?

That would be a tough call to make between these, but that would be my short list.

I think my decision is between Ash and Tom Cruse.

I could go with that. Pushed to make a choice, it would be Ash.

Josh Bassett for me, one player who looks consistently threatening even on limited opportunities.

Young for me. Outstanding.
Cruise honorable second. Launch when he has played. Ashley always there or there abouts this year,  Josh too although his side step has not exactly been conspicuous. Brookes had a great start.
Daly, Lima, Hughes and many others for wooden spoons....

I agree it’s far easier to pick the wooden spoon contenders!!!

Young has been our best player without a doubt but has not played as much as we had hoped.
Ash has really stood up during difficult times.
I personally don’t think Bassett has been great for a few weeks, running straight into contact and not looking for much work in field but has played pretty consistently for most of the season. Cruse is always consistent and. Ben Harris has put in a great shift so at this term

The outstanding player is YY but for hard nosed committment to the squad its between Smashley or Cruse.

Both have been the glue that keeps the squad together.

An honourable mention has to go to the physios and rehab team as well.

Jimmy Gopperth for me. Seems to get better and better with each passing game!

In seriousness though it's tough to choose. Would be Will Rowlands if it wasn't for the silly penalties that have cost us so dearly. I agree that Ben Harris has put in a good shift all season but even though he hasn't played as much as everyone would have wanted, Thomas Young has still been our best player.
