Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Wasps facing relegation

Interesting that wasps netball have just announced a load of signings. I assume they are owned by wasps holdings as well. So there must be some confidence internally that this will get resolved.

Players have since announced they won't play as they haven't been paid

Wasps Rugby Discussion / England starters

Interesting stat here on twitter. Wasps have been without an England starter for 12 matches now. Not as bad as London Irish at 87! Next one is Worcester at 6.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: OT - Prem Final (Spoilers Obviously)

Eddie will tell you that international rugby is different, prem form is no guide etc. He will then pick Farrell et al. playing the same game plan.

Was interesting watching the lions game to see some of the england players being able to offload in the tackle and keep the ball moving. Show's what happens when their told not to just take it into contact.

For a sanction of an offence that is a really interesting approach and I really like the idea. You never know he may enjoy it and look to go into refereeing in the future or he won't but will gain a respect of how hard it is.

Some reporting that it's the same leg as last time

Bobby Bridge in cov telegraph seemed to indicate it was the left knee and Jack had previously done his right one in.

Player was off feet but that is no longer illegal. It was what they're calling a crocodile roll. It was horrible could hear him scream on TV. I just hope he recovers and the boys at wasps ger behind him and really help him through it.

if Paolo doesn't get on at all during the 6Ns do we still need to give me the mandatory break afterwards?

If you go to google and look at the search result it directly says about the external website.

As sad as I feel that he isn't going to get the chance to play against Ireland. Part of me does wonder whether it is best for him to have a proper weekend off. I know we'd want him to come back and play against Bristol but unlike the guys who didn't go to England he hasn't had a break. And we all know how EJ likes to beast players.  I think it would do him some good to recharge his batteries prior to either going back into the Eng squad or coming back to us and sticking 2 fingers up to EJ to show why he's totally wrong.

Found this article by BT sport really interesting to show why EJ may have selected Umaga over Simmons down to how Wasps play off the 9 /10 /12 axis compared to Exeter. https://www.bt.com/sport/rugby-union/premiership-rugby/stats-behind-exeter-wasps-journey-to-premiership-final

Sry on phone if the link doesn't appear properly.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Bristol confirmed

Sky sports news suggesting that the results from the Tuesday tests added an extra 6 players and 2 staff to the positive count of people with Covid! The first batch was 16 players and 3 staff members. Slightly worrying breakdown of protocol at Sale. (If there even was one)

This makes me really proud of the club. Not that they could rush him back for Tigers or they even would be. But I hope that this kind of attitude is what players from other clubs would like the look of if they were wanting to move to us. And also for parents of academy players questioning whether they want them to play.

So... player puts hands on floor then grabs the ball = fair turn over. We do it earlier on and it was a penalty. Err anyone care to explain.
