Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Are Italy still worthy of the 6 Nations?
« on: March 10, 2019, 01:18:26 PM »
Only way I could see it happening is with a ring fencing for the original 5 nations and a rotation of the 6th, couldn't ever see the originals voting to potentially not play each other year in year out as financially it wouldn't make sense for them.

Unfortunately as soon as we tried to play keep ball with 2 minutes to go the writing was on the wall for what would happen.
Good efforts from Watson and Willis, impact from Neal when he came on but the rest as the thread says so disappointing.

Am I going to trust the so-called weather forecast from the BBC? No. It says, where I am sat down the road from the Ricoh, that it should be raining. Bright blue skies, with barely a cloud, but breezy.

BG, myself and my dad should be heading off for the early KO. A win today, or very little chance of top 4 (if we can even do that).

Wind and Rain arriving in Cov now.

And gone again!

Morning all, in sole control of taking the children today with the wife away, so if  you see a young lad on crutches or a young girl pursuing Ashley or Sting then would be grateful if you return them to me in block 17 please (after the game finishes would be fine!!).
Important one today, need to be positive throughout on and off the pitch, safe travels all.

You can tweet with the #wasvnew and they put a selection up usually including birthdays, although I tweeted my daughter's birthday for last game and my lad with his broken leg, he got on the screen she didn't, guess who wasn't popular!
Other option is email wasps community / Verity, she will either sort it or point you in the right direction.

In amongst all the rights and wrongs discussions, really feel for Alo who had probably his career highlight taken from him.

Morning all, if both teams play like they did last week could be 0 - 0 or 50 - 50, hoping we can sneak it, safe travels all.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Major down turn in fortunes
« on: February 24, 2019, 08:33:56 AM »
Other teams significantly improved as well, including a strong promoted team, so much more difficult to get on a winning run like Newcastle did last year. They have performed well in Europe with some good wins so they have not totally changed in a season but maybe others have had an up turn in fortune?

Speed from the base of rucks the difference for me, Joe industrious but often ponderous while Faf was threatening and always sharp.

Morning all, going to be an interesting one in many ways  today. As I mentioned on a couple of other threads my 10yo broke his leg this week so going to attempt to get a novice crutches user to the game today. Will be giving an extra loud cheer for Lima today after the great messages he sent my lad this week. Safe travels all.

Agree about Lima being a great guy, tweeted thanks to him for the message for my lad and had a lovely reply back. Really hoping he shows his true capabilities consistently for us.

Both of them back, as you might expect had a great morning, daughter with a pretty much fully signed shirt and many happy birthday wishes.
They got a great get well soon message from my lads favourite Lima for his broken leg.
Not much rugby / team news that hasn't already been mentioned apart from Dai saying Thomas isn't happy he has been told he is too ill to play!

Read somewhere (I think it might have been CovLive) was that SISU were thinking of Nuneaton Boro - only to be then told by their owner that it wasn't going to happen...

The Nuneaton ground is owned by owner of another EFL club (Macclesfield?), so EFL wouldn't allow it as a "conflict of interest".

Even more of an issue is the surrounding land owned by the Rugby Club.

My wife has taken my daughter whose 9th birthday it is today with a new shirt to get signed. I am at home with my lad who has broken his leg this week and is saving himself for the game tomorrow.

If there are no better sources on here, Will see what info I can get out of my wife and a massively over excited 9 year old when they get back!

I hope she has fun!!

I have no doubt she will however I fear the only feedback from her I will be able to give on here will involve Sting and Ashley!
