From The Ruck
Owen Farrell has been labelled ‘extremely lucky’ after he avoided being cited for a dangerous hit during Saracens 50-15 win against Doncaster Knights.
In a clip shared by Andy Goode with the caption ‘must be different tackle laws in the Championship’, the England captain clearly makes dangerous contact with his opponents head.

It's not HD video, but any Prem game, that looks a lot like a red......
-
100% red, seen players get red for less, Finn Russell for example.
-
That looks like a straight red to me. Leopard doesn't change it's spots.
-
Don't know what is worse, the tackle and no card or all those idiots commenting that Goode has a vendetta against the poor, sainted, Owen, rather than commenting on the "tackle".
-
With no TMO available, I can see why it wasn't a Red in the match. That said, the citing commissioner will have had a video of that match, so has no excuse.
-
Spot the Sarries supporters amongst those commenting......

Is it too late for citing ? Or is it a longer period in championship?
-
Not sure, but we're at least 4 days after the game so I think it's safe to say he's gotten away with it.
-
To be fair, he would even if cited as he would have just helped an old lady cross the road and would be let off for his work in the community.

I'm sure I read that that is what he was on his way to do but a Doncaster lad tried to mug him as he was moving in his normal peaceful manner.

Looks to me like St Owen was running to catch a child falling out of a tree and some evil git tried to bite his shoulder on the way.
-
Someone who is a Lion and is England captain, sure ought to be self assured enough that he doesn't have to reassure himself, that "he's the man" in a Championship game, playing for a Sarries side, studded with internationals.
It hints of someone with a problem and not one I'd like to share. Never seems to be against people who might retaliate. We've had hard players - but they generally didn't go around picking on kids.....Farrell's last red against us was just that. Plenty of time to line up a teenage 10 and tackle too high......
-
The underlying problem is that he's a very poor tackler with poor judgment in that area as well - not a good combination.

A perfect summation. It is becoming obvious over time.
He has been getting away with questionable tackles for donkey years. Clearly for this he was wearing the old cloak of invisibility, but next year he will get a straight red if the laws are applied as they are to everyone else.
