So Wade is currently in the practise squad.. so I'm guessing that's a bit like our acadamies but
"NFL regulations stipulate players must earn a minimum of $136,000-per-season (£102,800)"
Slightly weird havng a minimum wage set that high rather than a maximum wage cap for individual players.
I presume that's what NFL believe is an amount to have a comfortable standard of living?

From the Bills website : $615,500
-
From the Bills website : $615,500
...and suddenly we can all see why he wanted to play in the NFL !!
-
If he was a regular England player he would earn that at Wasps.
-
If I worked for Google i'd earn more than I do too...

More than 615, 500 USD?
-
Probably..about 250k with England and same again with Wasps..coverts to around that.
Would, shoulda coulda..
-
Well he had an England cap at least.
Didn't your interview with google go well? 8)

No joy, they looked up my social media and saw the amount of smites i get on here and decided i wasn't a good fit..go figure.
I'll be sticking to cabbage on toast.

If the spotrac website is accurate (and based on the information they seem to have, I have no reason to think it isn't), the $615,500 is just his first year salary
He signed a 2 year deal worth $1.4m, so his 2nd year salary is actually $780k

Presumably as he is "only" on the practice squad he doesn't actually have to play any games to the get that Salary..... if get promoted to the full squad presumably he will get a pay rise.
Along with the amazing facilities available to him to train in, top level coaches & S&C, you can see the attraction.
A few years of this & he's set for life.

The Bills currently list 80 players in their team. It will be cut to 53 for the regular season which starts on September 13. If Christian does not make it, he remains in the practice squad. He does have the necessary international player waiver to do this.
-
Can you imagine Rugby clubs having enough money to pay players who are basically reserve players that much money?!
-
Today is make or break for Wade.
The NFL teams need to trim their squads to 53 at 4pm NY time, 8pm here.
Fingers crossed for him, but it seems the Bills have signed another RB in the draft so not sure how this will play out.

A lot of the media reports I've read reckon he will be cut. Whether they keep him as a practice player or release him I don't know.
