It was a great tackle. He’s a real improver all round.

Yes amazing performance!

I think he made a huge difference to the scrum. When they were camped on our line he found something extra which forced them to pull the ball out and run it.

Re the tackle, well what can I say? For me, it was one of the key moments of the game. Sensational timing and technique Biyi, well done.

You can see a significant difference in his physique from the last season or two.

Absolutely superb tackle. I jumped up in my seat watching it. I thought they'd cracked us and their try was certain and I think they thought so too. Wonderful moment.

I've written somewhere how impressively he has improved over the three years he's been with us.  The talent was always there, but losing weight from 22  stone to 18 st 7ish lb  and gaining a 6-pack has done him  good service.  To lose that much so quickly is terribly difficult and it has paid off big time.  Congratulations Biyi.   (And the Useless Announcer can't pronounce  'Biyi'  properly.)

Wonkywasp, I think his attitude has always been good. He just needed the technique and the stamina. He has always been very powerful.

I will forgive his musical efforts after a performance like that!

Wot you said, Backdoc, ....  so much better than I could put it.  I agree about the music too!

TBF i actually rather like some of his songs... particularly those songs that are a little slower and relaxed.

I think he's a little bit of an unsung hero in the club atm, his performances have been fantastic and that tackle summarises that. The moment he realised we were outnumbered and took charge, got across and made a terrific tackle to shut Tigers out, especially as he seemed to find energy out of nowhere.

Says the person who actually knows. Apologies for not being one of those. I doubt I’m alone though seeing how it’s spelt.

I used to wonder too until  (not recognizing him because he changed so much since he'd joined us)  I said 'Who'se that?'   and  was told 'That's Biyi.  We share together.'  If  I seemed to be being rude to you  Beasties  -  many apologies. I didn't mean to be.  Sorry.

I’m sure you’ve read it back and realised it wasn’t the best. No worries though, very gracious of you. He shall now be BeeWhy henceforth in this household.

I’ll probably forget again though  ;D

I wasn’t a fan when he first arrived but he is now a solid option, he’s improved a lot.

I'm both glad to know and v glad that he's improved so much. Had all the tools but needed focus and that's come alongside a dose of leadership and being a key part of our best front row for now.

It's the attitude. You can see he is just working as hard as he possibly can. And that is something that is seriously hard to coach. It needs to be nurtured and cherished.

What a great couple weeks he's had

He's also encouraging  and  guiding the young players too throughout the game. Brilliant man.

OT  ...  Sorry but just noticed a weird  Thing.  On Match Day at 0930 hrs I had 52 smites; at 1600 hrs and 2 polite harmless posts later I had 54 smites.  I didn't post on Sunday or Monday at all  and gained 2 smites for nothing!  In the last hour I gained more smites  (total  57) presumably for liking  Alfie  and Biyi but not Eddie and postiing on  the  Everlasting Thread thinggy.   How very odd.

Thank you VV!  You are  very clever and kind.  That feels a lot better!!  The Phantom Raspberry  Blower must be spitting feathers.  In truth. I felt I was being bullied (for what?) and stalked. It was neither kind nor funny. but  you have solved my problem.  I realise it probably happens to others  and that I am being uber fluffy but I.m verry happy to be rid of the wretched person.  Thank you, and thank you Neils and others too.     :)

It's all relative, but I picked up a few in the last few days, despite rarely posting.  We have a phantom smiter!  ::)
