Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Teams Up

Looks like 4th choice Loosehead and 4th choice Hooker, could be a long afternoon for those boys in particular and the team as a whole but as above post points out it will also be valuable experience.

Well that's blown our chances :-p (tongue firmly in cheek)

Did we have any to start with?

I've been surprised how poor Quins have been these last 5 years considering their plethora of International stalwarts. Good result for them last night unfortunately.

As for Tigers, last season was their worst in the Pro era and I can see this season being worse still.

Thanks for a sensible post and not a moan, I've avoided Facebook and Drunken Wasps for a couple of days as I knew I'd be inundated with emotional and endlessly pointless ill-informed posts.

Obviously Searle is our 3rd choice Fly Half but he hasnt let us down he just lacks the experience of Lima and Gopps and of course Cipriani. I would like to think the lessons and experience he gets this season will accelerate his progression towards being a solid and reliable top Premiership number 10.

I should add that although Danny clearly outshone Searle, there was many other reasons why we were second best in that game.

Yes I've been impressed with Lima too, he's been under a bit of pressure filling Cipriani's boots having come over as a capped All Black but so far I'm not disappointed.

Belated Morning all. I'm feeling human again after two strong coffees and a dog walk across the fields.

I think our bench will be the difference today so if we can keep the scoreline close for the first 60 minutes then I can see the likes of Smashley, Simpson and Wade seeing us home.

Not sure what to make of Wade on the bench, hope and pray he's not leaving at the end of the season and surely not dropped through lack of form so hopefully only got a slight knock that's not serious enough to leave him out of the 23 completely.

Morning all,

With Barf and Glawster leapfrogging us it's important we get a win and get back in the top four.
I'll be surprised if we don't get a win today but I thought we'd win on our last visit too!

With due respect to Haskell and Miller I would say barring Launchbury and Daly that's our strongest 23.

I've still got a Vespa P200 which is Wasps themed which sits in the garage alongside a BMW F800ST and  Triumph Street Triple.

Good luck with your test and perhaps we can ride up to the Ricoh before the season ends.

Put it this way I was relieved to see Tom starting at Hooker on Sunday instead of Ashley simply because he is a better player in that position.

Well my prediction was a mile off. Good weekend for Sarries with the other top four teams all losing.

Morning. Although with Glaws losing yesterday today's game is not crucial to finishing in the top four, it is important as Phil says it we have ambitions of a home semi.

Hopefully the returning Sarries stars are a little rusty and don't have big impacts and with that in mind I'm predicting a narrow win for the men in Black and Gold.

I bought the official 150th supporters replica from the Wasps shop in small and is a perfect fit for my 37" chest.

Very strong looking 23. I'd also expect Ashley, Guy and Joe Simpson to make big impacts when they come on.
