Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Season ticket/Hospitality Package holders

Got my section 75 claim back today. Payment confirmed as 12/14. My claim was with Tesco Bank, online submission and took 10 days start to finish. Based on others in this thread I look to have been fortunate with the lack of hassle I've had.

Had my letter as a STH this morning too. I've already instigated my claim under Section 75 with my Credit Card provider. So far they've wanted sales confirmation, terms and conditions of the ST and evidence of administration. All sent over.

We and Worcester are now simply collateral damage as far as PRL and the RFU are concerned.

Morning Everyone. Warm and sunny in the Costa Del Halesowen already, good day for running rugby and making a heavy Tigers pack toil. We need to be on it from the get-go today, they have improved greatly since Borthwick arrived.

The three of us are back in the old routine today and can't wait to get back into the ground, we've been lucky and have our usual seats in 26.

Lets get that last win to give the boys who are moving on a good send off, not to mention that Champions Cup place. Mon the Wasps!!!

Ricoh Arena Parking who do the offsite spaces look to have Christ the King FC open for the game, tenner per car:

Another option if a 10 min stroll is practical or appealing.

Afternoon all from a sunny but cold Halesowen. Health wise we are all OK, the good lady is type 2 diabetic so is being extremely careful.

Best wishes to all, especially you VV. It cannot be easy for you and yours at the moment but everyone is here to support you in any way they can.

Work wise, I've been on WFH for 2 weeks but could be called in at any time, we are classed as key workers due to supporting national infrastructure and the emergency services, have a letter to allow me to travel if needed.

As an H&S Manager I have seriously earned my money in the last month and I'm in constant contact with all of the teams. The mental health aspect of lockdown is huge, just that short chat with people about their feelings and fears is worth it's weight in gold for some.

Financially we should be OK, even if furloughed, it'll be tight but we'll manage.

Supermarket shopping in the area is a bit hit and miss, you can now get most things but may not get everything in one go, just got to be sensible and think of others when you get in there.

Had Prime and Netflix before all this and they are now great to have, we're doing lots of films and boxsets. Watching a bit of football and rugby here and there from the archives which is also keeping me happy. I've also developed a taste for walking again, averaging 3 miles each day on the prison walk!

The main thing for us all though is keeping ourselves safe and those we live with. The art of conversation is more important than ever, especially for those you care about but cannot go and see. This afternoon my usual group who meet for a Sunday pint are getting together on a video call, our virtual pub! Looking forward to it.

Is it bad to say - good!

Under normal rugby circumstances, it is bad. However, these aren't. They deserve absolutely everything they get and will need to do a hell of a lot to win back any respect from the rest of rugby.

Morning all. Good to hear you are on the mend NWW.

Frosty here in Halesowen too. A few bits to do before heading over at lunchtime. Today is a free hit, another chance to build some more confidence ahead of going to Sixways next week. Interested to also see how good Bordeaux actually are, my Edinburgh supporting friend saw them at Murrayfield and was very impressed with them.

Hopefully an afternoon of open and attacking rugby awaits. Mon the Wasps!!!

Massive, massive win. The feeling of relief as Nemo went over was huge.
The lads put one hell of a shift in, especially when defending. Set piece was strong and despite a few poor decisions by Sir, we did it!
Umaga is getting better with every game, he will make errors but that's the risk and he didn't let it get to him. I also thought Fekitoa had his best game for us so far.
Now to use the win as the springboard. In the commentary last night, the view was that winning in the way we did would do more good than an easier one. I agree, it shows all of us that we can do it when the pressure is on.
Bring on Saints!!!!

Morning all. Rain has stopped in Halesowen, big shop for Christmas done early. Relaxing morning before heading over. Need to pick up a new hoodie for the boy at the club shop so going slightly earlier.

Huge, huge game today. I'd go so far as to say the biggest since the Prem Final v Exeter. It feels pivotal to everything moving forward on the 5th anniversary of the first game at the Ricoh. Win today and we can start to build a bit of momentum, we need to be solid all over the pitch and clinical when chances arise. Every single player, coach and even us supporters have to step up and play their part today. The extra spice being that it's the proper derby too.

I don't want to contemplate losing...

Mon the Wasps!!!!!

Good move by the club and we'll be taking advantage of the offer to bring friends and colleagues to each game. Despite them losing on the gate receipts, every person will probably buy something that helps the club, be it a programme, a pint, food or something from the club shop. We also might generate some new regulars.

Most importantly, getting the place as full as possible helps the boys on the pitch. More backing to help them along in what looks likely to be a relegation battle, if the atmosphere is good then it's like starting with points on the board.

Confidence is everything. We need some Ws. Full stop.

This the crux of the matter. Last week after watching us struggle at Murrayfield, I felt something needed to change (not necessarily personnel but more what was being trained). Yesterday for me was about grabbing a win, any kind of win just to boost confidence before Quins. It wasn't pretty but we almost ground out the result, their last penalty was harsh. I thought we'd made a good turnover. Then to win the late scrum just outside their 22 I thought we'd play another phase or two with Lima or Gopps moving back for the Drop Goal. A confident team would have done that but we didn't.

Losing is a habit we definitely have at the moment and the phrase "must win" is now valid for upcoming games. The only way to build confidence is to drill it into the players all week and then as Heathen says, get wins. I'd take a 3-0 next Saturday.

Morning all. Still raining in Halesowen but forecast is better by the time we get to Coventry. Decent team selection today and Edinburgh's is a bit different to last week. A win today would help build some confidence going into the Quins game and would also keep us alive in Europe. Hopefully the boys will keep it simple and get the win we all crave.

Mon the Wasps.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Edinburgh match

The morning after the night before. Whilst we had an enjoyable night with friends who follow Edinburgh at Murrayfield. The performance itself was dreadful, scrum got murdered again, line out was patchy at best, our general play was poor and we have mastered the art of butchering any promising move with a knock on.

For the first time as we waited for the tram after the game, I now believe that we are in serious danger of being relegated. With what we have available to us squad wise we should be at least mid table but last night and a number of other games of late suggest that the coaching is a mess. Players seem to be devoid of confidence and ideas, there is no plan A let alone plan B. A change is needed and quickly otherwise we will be staring the abyss in the face by the end of January.
