Wow..what an article, it sent shivers down my spine.

From the sidelines you think you know but actually you haven't got a clue. Alex is a far stronger individual than I could ever be and I hope he regains the confidence to get him back to where he was pre injury.

That is a very moving article about a brave man. Good luck in the future Alex.
I remember being at a Wasps match at Northampton when he performed brilliantly.

Long term serious injury “is like dealing with a bereavement “. The mental stress these guys go through when sidelined is immense. Just because they are huge physical lumps doesn’t mean they will not have dark thoughts, especially as they suddenly have lots of time on their hands and are then often alone. Congrats to Reider for coming through all this. Hopefully he will play for the first 15 soon, and be free of any other serious injuries. Before his injury he was outstanding
