Went to the game and thought both brothers were outstanding. Jack?s links with DuPont and Tom?s passion were standouts. Great to see Gabby Oghre doing well for Bordeaux too.

Spurs football will never recover from their off-shore owned parent business becoming an events business with a multi-event arena. Am really hoping that the new Bath Stadium will be a rugby stadium not a multi-event arena owned by anonymous off-shore money.

Take the local PR with a pinch of salt. Only one stand is taken down each Summer (none in 2020/21). It costs much less than £1m but even at that level, it is less than £5 per ticket. The aim of the proposed new ground is to increase commercial and non-rugby activity and the est. £65m cost may be bond-funded......

New Wasps need to find a friendly council, as Bath have. They rent The Recreation Ground land for just £27k pa and have used temporary stands for over 20 years. Current capacity 14,500.

Having watched games at Irish, Bath and Quins in the last 3 weeks I can’t wait for us to start again. Championship or lower level.

This week I asked a CEO of a Premier club how they’d cope with the rumoured ten team league and he spluttered about adding “a more meaningful cup competition”.

Two thoughts following a very brief visit to this week's pre-Barbarians England training camp. One was the focused but very authoritarian atmosphere - maybe necessary with so many new faces for a one-off match but a bit scary. The other was why no presence of local juniors, likewise when they're at Pennyhill Park?  Maybe it happens - would be interested to know what the England set-up does to engage with local schools and clubs to inspire the next generation and encourage inclusion and diversity?

I was at the game and thought Barnes did a good job other than the lack of a yellow card in the last 10. Leinster must be kicking themselves for being so conservative.

EG’s brief included overseeing their revised plans for the new stadium. He’s already engaged with local residents about it. Bath’s announcement about his departure only refers to the playing side - bizarre.

Having been at the Exeter, Quins and Bristol games I'd love to know why our nearly first choice pack and Dobby have come second to below-strength opponents? Is it so many returning players and knackered ever-presents being 5% below par?

Interesting comment from a big Quins fan. After Gustard left, Danny C, Joe M & Mike B said to the younger players along the lines of “On the field, if we say do something, do it. If we don’t, use your brains & instinct and we’ll back you 100%”. Transformed things & team now playing with a smile.

Having been at the game I’m utterly drained & exhilarated. What a stadium & local boozers, what a friendly & generous crowd and what a 2nd half! Proud to be a Wasp, many teams would have folded at halftime.

In Western cultures, advertisers & logo designers regard characters facing to the left as giving the impression of going backwards and the “past”. Those facing right are seen to be going forward and more positive. Most logos face the right for this reason.

Might be because of how we read & write or the predominance of right handedness, or I might be talking rubbish. However I’m with DGP Wasp, the Wasp logo needs to be turned round to be right-facing!

Can’t wait! Two attacking teams, great new stadium and beers by the river in Strand on the Green!

That was dire. No ownership on the field - too many players seemed to be going through the motions, waiting for someone else to sort it out. And the backs (unusually) had a stinker. Hopefully some honest post-match discussions.
