Odd, has a track record of leaving suddenly, did the same at Tigers.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Telegraph Rumours

Not new news but adding fuel to the Edwards fire and Wasps ahead in the race for the Naholo signature, did anyone see him knock Quade Cooper into 2020? Clip below, loving the phrase 'Gives the big don't argue to Quade Cooper'...

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Interesting Weekend of Fixtures
« on: March 02, 2019, 08:22:24 AM »
All fixtures have a closer bearing this season than in a lot of previous years, given the mid-bottom of the table congestion but this weeked looks to be one where it could go well or disastrously for Wasps. The Bristol win helped us, pegging Gloucester back but by the same token bumped Bristol up. I think it may pan out like this. Our enduring injury crisis makes me feel I am more twitchy than ever.

Bath Rugby v Harlequins - Quins away win (Quins in form and Bath have some confidence issues, close one)

Leicester Tigers v  Wasps  - Wasps away win (Optimist in me, evenly matched and equally depleted in terms of first picks, close one)

Sale Sharks  v Exeter Chiefs  - Chiefs away win (It will be close but I see Chiefs shading it by dulling down and stifling the Sale expansive rugby approach)

Saracens v Northampton Saints - Saracens home win (easy to call, as well as Saints are doing at the moment, I cannot see them winning this one, not so close)

Newcastle Falcons v Worcester Warriors  - Warriors away win (I think Warriors have a stronger belief they can stay up than ever before, Falcons will run them close though)

Of course I may be completely wrong but thought I would take a look at it. Thoughts anyone?

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Billy Searle, out for the remainder of this season

"He's having an operation next Monday. It was a full dislocation of the ankle and fracture as well. So he definitely needs an operation to put it right.

"I haven't got the time scales yet, we'll know a bit more after the operation. But I think it's safe to say we're looking at anywhere between five to nine months.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Booing at Bristol
« on: February 17, 2019, 08:05:49 PM »
Extended highlights now on BT Sport, what was really disappointing was Bristol 'supporters' booing Lima when he was kicking and when the ball went over. Also booing clearly audible at the end, I understand the frustration but booing is not what rugby is about.....hmmmm.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Sione Vailanu
« on: February 13, 2019, 07:37:38 PM »
A rumour that has been kicking around for some time, he is out of contract at the end of the season I believe and according to Wikipedia (see below), so it may stack up. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sione_Vailanu

I took a look at his Instagram and he has started following Fekitoa and Wasps, he would provide good cover in the back row, we are quite blessed in that department but losing Hughes is a blow, even if he has become a bit of a penalty magnet. Jim Hamilton for example thinks he is a better player than Hughes.

I suppose it is a 'watch this space'.....

Reading this it feels like Campo is off, as are Watson and Gaby. Naholo may be on. Looking to recruit EQP and then from NZ.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Telusa Veainu

Seems to be some Twitter noise about him and Wasps...he is now following Wasps on Twitter, and some fan blogs like Wasps Rugby News and Wasps Rugby Blog. We are, I am guessing in the market for a useful FB. He is injured at the moment....so this ticks all of the usual signings boxes.

https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/rugby/rugby-news-and-rumours-wasps-15783933 He isn't happy.....understandably so.

The whole article also goes on to say that Retalick isn't going to Sharks, see below.

However, the 27-year-old dismissed the rumour on his Instagram story, screengrabbing one of the articles linking him with a move to England along with his own words that read: 'No one thought to ask but no I'm not going to be playing for Sale... not that I know of anyway!'
