Wasps Rugby Discussion / Quins v tigers and launch

Pre match had interview with Joe.

Looked really relaxed and smiled a hell of a lot - well for Joe! Made him look human and not the wasps robot we used to see week in week out.

Amazed that Ewells is higher in the England pecking order than Joe and Elliott S?

Picked up a striped branded beanie hat at the corporate/supporters pre match lunch at the Crowne Plaza with Leinster in 2007 - match at AP. Has Leinster and match date on it etc.

Been wearing it including on winter runs for many years.
Did the Army Orienteering event near Aldershot a couple of weekends ago with it on.

One guy, about a third my age goes steaming past at about three times my speed, and chanted "Once a wasp, always a wasp" - twice!

Didn't give me any time to make a response :-(

Reading this and today?s media, can this be the impetus for our leader OF to be considering that a move to the 13 a side might be attractive?

Surprised the Kolbe chargedown wasn't checked.

Yep. I wanted to see when he started. 20 odd meters within 3 or 4? Dubious!

A while back had expected Launch to have been near the squad - after his Japanese sojourn.
But I have not seen him even mentioned. Anyone better informed - injured or?

Slightly o/t but just seen elsewhere that Bath have just announced their playing squad for next season. c60 names, a load of which I don't recognise but obviously includes their new acquisition - Finn Russell.

Assuming therefore they are including all sorts of academy players as opposed to just the "senior academy", but it does make me wonder about Craig's salary bill.

I thought (but correct me) at one stage we were down to 42/3 senior players?

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Dublin

Well flights, tickets and hotels were booked prior to our demise (the group has made it to most EC finals for last 10 years) so will still be going for what hopefully is a great Dublin weekend.

Will show my mourning by wearing any black and yellow rugby shirt (this includes my community club as well) that I have, so if any one else is over there, don't just assume I (or we) am one of the La Rok supporter!

Its going to upset my Dublin mate though.... 8)

Oghre back on the market - his stint at Tigers is over.
He's joining Bordeaux until the end of the season.

Due to various Leicester injuries he was performing at centre for his stint v Sale!

Oxford FC have a lease there until 2026, but are looking at building a new stadium just outside Kidlington. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that we might be looking to move to the Kassam and then follow Oxford to their new home if it happens.

When travelling to watch my local level 7 team last season playing at Gosford All Blacks, I found a decent 2 storey club house (bar and viewing veranda over pitch) and several pitches which seemed to me the best resourced rugby club in Oxford area (whilst not having visited Ox harlequins new plastic ground at horspath).

I was told then that the grounds had been sold to football, which I thought a shame for grassroots rugby.

Was up there again a few weeks ago and no change at that time!

Has anyone else got sync problems with BT?

Been having it for last 24 hours. :(
Turn your box off for a couple of minutes.

Bt box or router?
Do you mean off as in taking power plug out?
