Rumour on Twitter that Wasps will be playing in Worcester. Merger? Takeover?
-
Have you got a link so we can see how credible it is?
-
It has been mooted on the Worcester board for over a week. Based on nothing more than their potential owner's backers have said they will have elite rugby at Sixways.
Remember our potential owner's did state they were not involved with Sixways.
Things can, of course, change.

This has bounced around for a while, not sure if there has been anything concrete behind it
-
Groundshare??

The RFU would have to approve any ground we propose to use. I have little doubt that we proposed a ground, on the basis of a Heads of Agreement (most likely with Solihull Moors), and that was why the RFU gave initial consent. They would NOT consent to us changing that to Worcester (out of area and it is WW's ground).
The RFU are under enough criticism as it is, without approving such an idea. Even they are not that stupid.

I also can't see the RFU sanctioning this.
One thing that does concern me is people suggesting that they would support it if there was no other option. That worries me somewhat. The move to Coventry was pitched as the only option to prevent Wasps going under. Now, at the time it might very well have been true, but it didn't work out very well did it?
I don't think supporters of either club want to be pressured into a solution that is to the benefit of "owners" or "investors" in the shadows because there doesn't appear to be any other alternative.
