The alternative is that someone decided that English rugby is ideal for sports-washing. If that were the case then we could an outfit like Saudi?s PIF stepping in. Perhaps they could call it XIVIX ? would need 14 teams to do though. XIX doesn?t have quite the same ring to it.

At this rate, there will be more teams in the 6N than the Premiership.

Nevertheless despite the less-is-more belief of the PRL, RFU and the Chief Wanker (Baxter), I?m cancelling my BT Sport subscription as soon as the contract is up. As that will be in August, after the rebranding, you could say that I?ll be detonating TNT.

The again the expenditure cap in F1 is also bollocks. Red Bull get caught breaching the cap and get the lowest grade slap on the wrist.

Even worse the cap includes both capex and opex. So if you?re a well established team with flashy facilities you have a massive advantage.

So Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes can continue to dominate at the front of the grid.

If you?re Williams, you can?t just invest in a top-end wind tunnel and so end up having to suck it up as a mobile chicane.

Aston are seem to be defying to odds, but that has something to do with (i) growing their capital bases a little more each year and (ii) starting from being little more than a Pink Mercedes before transforming into a Green Bull.

I very much doubt this is the last club to go.

Since 2008, ultra low interest rates have allowed companies on the edge to get away without restructuring and instead rely on a diet of cheap debt to the point of addiction.

The upshot is a host of zombie companies kept afloat by this cheap debt tide. Now that that tide is heading out fast, we?re beginning to find out who had been swimming naked. Sadly, it appears that this includes a large number of rugby clubs.

It also wouldn?t surprise me if it turns out that the RFU is amongst them with Sweeney leading the charge. And I think we can all agree that?s one tackle below the waist that we can do without seeing.

Can we get an extra week to get ready for the Championship. If there?s no burning need to sort out who is playing in the Premiership next season, surely the same must be true for the Championship.

What?s the plan if another club goes to the wall? Would the RFU then look to sell a franchise to enter the Premiership to replace them?

Been a Wasps fan for over a quarter of a century, so don?t exactly feel inclined to follow anyone else. Haven?t watched a game since we went under, I listened to the 6N on the radio rather than watch and will cancelled TNT sport next month when my current contract expires.

Could be some time before I watch another prem game ? either on TV or in person. I suppose that if the obnoxious estate agents went under I might change my mind.

Not sure a one-tenth P share in a shrunken premiership will be worth as much as the p shares in the old 30% larger premiership
