Sold to Doug King. He is buying 85% and is clearing all debts.

Glad things are working out nicely for them
-
According to their official release they plan to bid for the CBSA not sure how that works with the Ashley bid.

Good news for the bond holders if this is right. A bit of competition between 2 successful businessman with big egos is going to push te price up a bit.
-
A cunning plan.
-
Great news for the football club, great news for the city and bad news for the lawyers that have made a living from SISU’s perma-litigation What’s not to like about that.
-
Not sure this is quite what it seems. The plot thickens

Seen some comments that suggest his business address is the same as SISU's
-
How VERY interesting. I look forward to more info.

From the satement :
“We have made it a priority – and one of our first acts as majority owners – to submit a bid to acquire the CBS Arena. We are keen to meet with Coventry City Council representatives and others as soon as possible to set out our vision – which includes the regeneration of the area.”
-
On second thoughts, could it just be a 'convenience' address or something similar?
-
Expect King will now make his excuses and leave the scene. No idea if Ashley has a penchant for rugby.

I sure hope so!
-
Ashley has a liking for money, so if he can rent the stadium out to 2 separate sports clubs & leverage the hotel, casino & exhibition space, then I would expect him to do so.
Whether Wasps want to or be able to afford to, are different questions all together.

If Wasps want to exist they will have to suck it for a year or two.

He does not, sorry to say.

I know that Ashley is the preferred bidder, but I am also fairly sure he is not yet the owner. It ain't a done deal till the ink hits the paper and the money changes hands. I think this has some twists and turns to go yet.
I am also very suspicious about who this King guy is. Could he be the real money behind SISU, and CCFC fans end up with the same owner, with a different face?
As to the Legends bid, I am sure they are a bit wary to put pen to paper until they see who owns the Arena. Time is running out, and indeed may have already run out for next year.
I also note we have heard very little about Worcester.
-
That sounds like Line of Duty.
-
NWW, King, for me is a red herring. Wheeled out to disrupt and obfuscate. He’s just a tool to drive the price of CCFC up for Ashley. I’m sure the Legends and Wuss bids are mired in RFU dithering. I’d expect nothing less.

What is Line of Duty?
Is it something Wayne Barnes has come up with?
