Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Possible news?

That fits with what I'd heard. I note that there is no detail as to why the financial advisor failed to do as Derek instructed and how that caused the cascade of fuck ups that killed our club.

I guess that'll come out in the case itself.

Sadly, fuck ups generate a momentum all their own.

A welsh friend has been telling me how impressed he has been by Doggy. Makes him think of Scott Gibbs.

This thread prompted me to look at the table for the first time this season. Already looking grim for Falcons. Glos not a lot better. Poll on Shedweb (600+ votes), a coin toss whether Skivington should go or stay. Is relegation still on hold this season?

Battle of the young Wasps 8s this afternoon - Barbeary vs Fisilau. Both playing really well. Also Elliot Stooke putting in his usual shift.

I see from the Beeb that Alfie scored twice in Bath's 41 - 24 victory over Exeter.

One of them here

Exeter defence was pitiful.

Thanks Roger. Looks interesting. I'll D/L and see if I can get it to work on my setup.

VK.Com may be quasi legal but as it is a very active Russian site which means it has Kremlin approval and I would regard it as immoral. They do not charge for their stream so it is in effect pirated. Remember there is no such thing as a free lunch.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / OT: Audio question.
« on: November 22, 2023, 12:18:27 PM »
Hi, This a somewhat esoteric audio query. I have thousands of MP3 (mostly) and FLAC files stored on my windows PC. Up till now I have streamed my music both by WiFi and ethernet to 2 elderly Logitech devices (Squeezebox Boom & Classic), both of which are over 20 years old and have suddenly died on me - no power and no (streamed) music >:( I had setup playlists on my PC which I used with Logitech media centre.

As both of my Logitech devices are getting long in the tooth I have decided that replacement will be preferable to a possibly expensive repair. Now, here is my problem. I have done quite a lot of searching but cannot come up with an obvious substitute(s). The best that I have found is a modern stand alone speaker such as Denon 150 and use PlayFi on my computer to organise the streaming. However I don't actually know if this will work as I would want it! Can anyone suggest any alternative? I don't want to spend a fortune. BTW: I replaced the power supply on one of my devices but without success.

PS. I do not have a smart phone but have an Android tablet.

Thank you for reading.

Get rid of the caterpillar & allow the mark to be called anywhere to reduce aimless kicking.

Agree re. the caterpillar but wouldn't a mark called anywhere usually result in a pretty aimless kick in return? And it would all take slightly longer.

anyone remember Hamish Smalles getting shown up by  the 5 second count and taking exception to it as it showed that the players could take high tea in the time it was taking to come out?

I remember it well. James Gaskell started counting down for him and got slapped down for it. Smales then penalised him just about every time he got the ball. Jamma then had a brainwave and changed his scrum cap at HT and didn't get pinged the rest of the game. Smales was (probably still is) a total prat. Very poor ref as well.
