Good article. Interesting Dai's views.

He's certainly proved himself able to make the step up. Good to have him in the team.

Booj and Neale (and Morris) have been revelations. I'd like to see him in his preferred position of 13 alongside Booj

Agree 100%, I've been impressed with Booj essentially learning on the job - really looks accomplished as if Prem rugby was second nature. The stories about Neale have been super positive about attitude and wanting to learn, serious wheels and I hope durable! Morris has been easy to spot and so easy to see he is really doing the business.

Potential for competition for places in the New Year, fingers crossed!

I am mightily confused, I am sure I remember reading in several posts elsewhere how we had traded down in recruiting championship players and as a result the world was about to end. :)

No you've got it all wrong.  We've thrown our money away by recruiting proven top level players.  We need more players from the Championship, or from our academy, or from school or something...

There's a couple of posters on the DW site that were grumbling in the summer (even before the new players had played)  and ever since about the signings, plus there still a few that haven't quite grasped that Cips leaving was probably more to do with him hedging his bets (about Eng slection), rather than Wasps not wanting him.

I think all the championship signings have done well and will only get better. We've not seen much of Atkinson since the first few games, but I thought he did well when he played as well.

The one curious signing is Ambrose Curtis. I don't suppose he can be too happy moving to the other side of the world to only have played one game a third of the way through the season.

Curtis was on a pay to play basis, he may well be quite happy to have a permanent contract.

Curtis was on a pay to play basis

Was? Is? Does that mean he pays to play???????

I mean when he was in NZ, he would get paid per game, he didn't have a contract.

I wonder what the rationale behind having him over was? Was he supposed to be cover? He seemed a really nice chap when I met him during pre-season. I don't recall him having a particularly bad game either when he did get a game.

Maybe he came to Dai's attention as being a free agent and because of his previous employment status, probably very cheap, so possibly Dai thought it was a no lose scenario signing him up, simply an extra body in the squad.

I thought he played really well in the game against ... er can't remember.. but he has good hands and seems fast and keen.. so it seems curious as to why he's hardly been used.. even in the Premiership Cup games
