Even the ban from being a company director is only for 12 months.  Although anyone doing the slightest shred of due diligence before going into business with them ought to spot one or two red flags.

There was a story about one of them being a “trainee solicitor with a law firm that has now disappeared after being involved in losses incurred by a Saudi businessman. I am sure they have an explanation.

It's baffling how wide boys like this are ever able to bullshit their way into having such levels of financial responsibility without someone seeing straight through them.
