Not the best place to get some winter sun though.

I wonder when PRL/RFU are going to announce a cancellation of relegation for this season. They're running out of time!

Cynically, I think they'll be fine with Newcastle or Worcester being relegated but if there's a game or two to go and Leicester, Wasps or Northampton are still in the mix there might be a press conference called...

Most are similar in a way, except the Exeter try, with a huge break from a solo run. Watson was the only one to finish his break off so perhaps doesn't look as good as those that needed an offload or two to get over the try line.

He's Australian, apparently! I never twigged that when he played for us. Just assumed he was English - hence wondering how he could be reffing England!

Is this Dai not trusting the Academy again?

Ignoring the academy and bringing in a Championship player yet again!

Gatland and co will have found some weakness to exploit so I hope we change things up a little. And also have identified a weakness or two to exploit ourselves.

He's only 27....bit young to be ending his England career?

If he's got assurance from EJ that he can still play in the world cup (as he won't be in France yet) then he'll just have two years off the international stage, and then re-sign for an English club and be back in the team. Like Ashton.

If he hasn't got assurance from EJ then he might be missing the world cup. But that's a decision for EJ and the RFU/PRL.

I can understand going for the money (short career, potentially even shorter for an injury prone player) and also for a change, a challenge, and a different culture.

However, is France the best place for an injury prone player? He will lose the max number of game protection he gets as part of the England squad and for that money he will expected to play every week. I'm not sure the french clubs have as good a conditioning regime as English clubs (or is that just the French national team), although other medical facilities might be better.

Hopefully it works out for him.

Does he speak French? I think Worsely and other Wasps who went to France had been learning the language for a while before they took the plunge.

I'm surprised Terry didn't turn up in full England rugby kit for a photo opp. ::)

Apparently given a pep talk to the England team ahead of the Wales game. Seems an odd choice. Fortunately it's quite early in the week so there's time for some real leaders to undo Terry's words.
