Walder left immediately - no indication of anything but just finished!
Maybe this is the club in the "doomed" lane.

Not sure. They just transferred in a temporary prop. They wouldn't do that if they were going under. I think it is just sack the coach when things are going wrong on the pitch ...

Wasps signed Vincent Koch, which was held up as proof that things were going OK!

That was a long time in advance and things were going well. As we keep learning, things unravelled very quickly.
As for Walden leaving, I?ll with Occam?s Razor and the coach being blamed for poor form. A bad show though as he?s been there for some time and done a good job up to now.

The temporary prop is replacing a good one who has gone elsewhere mid-season. Not a good sign for the club.
-
He?s the fourth player to leave mid season. Along with the coach. My money is on them going pop anytime soon.

So if true, that's 3 teams who all own(ed) their own stadium gone or going pop.
Yet a poorly supported team like LI are soldiering on and lets not forget Tigers financial woes despite being the best supported team and owning their stadium.
Perhaps a low rent lease is the way to go for us not just for the short term but beyond as having a conference centre and meeting rooms etc isn't paying the bills but on the contrary a financial burden?

I still believe that Covid had a lot more to do with it than PRL/RFU are prepared to accept.

Seems he is stepping back and will leave at end of season.
-
'Although he will not officially depart until the end of the season, Walder will immediately step aside to allow Mark Laycock to take on the role.' Bit strange. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/64963047

I imagine Blackett will be linked.

In some professional business settings that would be gardening leave to stop him going to a competitor with up to date information.
It doesn't seen to fit here, though, so very strange.
