Worst performance under Blackett...so far. Time for change.

Saints may also be looking for a replacement for Ratuniyarawa, unless I have missed a signing from them

Didn't realise Capuozzo (Italy 15) was signed for Toulouse next season... Looks to be a special talent. Lamaro and fischetti were world class with ioane showing his threat. Really wish wasps had managed to sign him.

After rewatching I think we lost that game at the breakdown. With the exception of a couple of great turnovers we really did nothing to slow Saints ball and they had multiple phases of lighting quick rucks ending up with Waller walking over from 5m with only 1 player anywhere near him.

Conversely, outside the first 10 minutes where everything was done with great pace and accuracy we were slow to clear out and slow to get the ball away. Meant we were constantly running into a settle defensive line with no real guile or disguise.

This used to be one of our strengths so concerning that it seems to be such an issue for us, especially with close to our full strength forward pack out.

This team is a shambles. Every time we have to make a decision we take the wrong one. Clueless

Get Porter on to get some tempo in our game. Slow and ponderous so far...
Agree Dan has been really poor today, so many costly errors

Haven't been able to watch that site for last 3/4 weeks - get the copyroght/porn block.

Anyone worked out a way around it?

Defence looks atrocious - not just missing tackles but the entire system is falling apart so easily

Just watched the highlights and for JTA's yellow it looks like the maul has splintered and there is no other player bound to the ball carrier when JTA pulls it down.

At what point does this stop being collapsing the maul and become just a tackle? I'd assume for it to remain a maul it would require multiple players bound?

Really happy with the result, performance has a lot of room for improvement though.

Having said that, a quick look at Saints forum shows many think this was the strongest 23 they've fielded under Boyd and they have no real injuries. Contrast that with the players we are missing and this result looks even better, squad players really stepped up.

Cardell could be a major force for us this season. He has been quietly building his game time and physicality.

I agree. He is flying under the radar but has really developed into a top drawer player over the last 12-18 months in much the same way that Tom Willis has. He is going to get a lot of game time this season.

I’ve seen the speculation that we are looking for an additional second row but our second row options are looking very good.

Real coup to keep hold of him when he was strongly rumoured to be moving to donkeys last year. Hope we see him kick on and make Rowlands shirt his own.

Graeme Hughes should genuinely be sacked off that performance.

Given every single tool to make his job easier and still got almost every big decision wrong. Incredible

Apologies if mentioned elsewhere, but saw Ali Crossdale got 2 tries for saracens toda in a 69 point rout of Ampthill.

Doesn't look like he has played too much so far this season so good to see him getting back to some form.
