I can't see anyone investing in Rugby Union in England with the head trauma litigation in the background. For right or wrong, we may be litigated to oblivion.

Nobody will invest in clubs in the true sense of "invest" - wanting a financial return on your money. Prem clubs are money pits.

But but but, fewer teams is better! Don't they understand? Are they stupid?

Just wait for it to be an eight-team league halfway through next season, they'll be falling over each other in an attempt to secure the rights for more money.

Unfortunately my local team is $ara??n$ and I'll be damned if my feelings towards them move from what they are now to anything that approaches not loathing them with a passion.

How to make a small fortune out of rugby - start with a large one.

The biggest threat to the game is money.

Iy's the Micawber principle. "Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen pounds nineteen and six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds nought and six, result misery."

The game has been miserable for years now. Players are being paid money that they don't bring in. Whether they deserve it or not, it's not there. There has to be proper financial regulation of the game, what exists now clearly doesn't work.

I could easily put my feelings into words but I fear I'd get banned.

I say "FU" to the RFU. They are acting as undertakers to the professional game in this country.

There will no doubt be self-aggrandising comments emanating from HQ about how they did everything within their power to help us, but when a man accused of murder protests his innocence whilst holding a kmife dripping with blood it's hard to accept it at face value.

Wasps did more for the RFU than the RFU did for Wasps, and in return we got shafted.

If clubs are going to the wall in a 13-team league, how can a 10-team league be more financially viable?

Can these people not do basic arithmetic?

Would you sign up with a club that's just a name at the moment?

I think there could well be a seismic shift in the game this summer, financially. A smaller Prem could force the hands of the broadcasters, and there are too many players chasing too little money at that level.

How many fans would be needed for Sixways to wash its face, let alone generate positive cashflow?

Its owners might be better off mothballing the stadium than making a loss trying to operate it for matches.

Thinking about people who go to watch F1, what do they see of the action other than a noisy blur of cars every couple of minutes? You also need a load of dosh to be able to go to more than the one race a year held in your home country. It's a sport best watched on telly.

Rugby is nothing like that, it needs multiple attendees at multiple sites, the average fan cam, money permitting, see all of their team's home games for a consistent price.

Rugby needs to market itself as the opposite of what many people think it is - elitist, a game for pissed-up braying inbreds. Without new money the professional game in this country cannot continue as it is. Clubs paying money that they don't have for players who play for half a season due to international call-ups or injury.

The problem with covid-related loans is that so much has been lost to fraud that those with the task of recovering what's not been thieved are taking a hard line on the remaining, honest, loanees.

I'm working with a company trying to negotiate an early repayment. It's a nightmare. I suspect that the system us geared to take so long that by the time an agreement is in place it's time to repay the loan according to the original terms.

It's good to know that I'm not the only one who can't watch Prem rugby. To be honest European rugby is pushing it a bit as well.

I was also cheering for La Rochelle but it didn't feel right, to have only negative feelings about a game.

If the documentary is bringing in funds then they can NDA to their hearts' content. At this moment a fledgling rugby team needs cash.

"As the property market becomes more challenging, our expertise will prove vital for Saracens."

How? Why? Are they planning to move every week?

At least we can call $arri?s a bunch of Foxtons and not be far off.

If a ten team league is better than a 12 team league then surely an eight team league would be even better. After all, fewer matches means there's an even more competitive element.

Someone really needs to go on a basic numeracy course if they truly believe this load of old tosh.
