Wasps Rugby Discussion / Player Identification at Wasps Pre-Season
« on: July 18, 2022, 09:19:20 PM »
Hi All,

So I was watching Richard Blaze's interview on the Wasps Instagram page and he was talking about the forwards group and that he had a few players still to come but 3 new senior players (forwards) in the squad.

Now, two of them were Kiran McDonald and John Ryan but the other i can't identify and its not Koch (obvs). Also checked and its not Burger either or WHW (obvs both backs). So does anyone know who it is?

I was thinking the same thing this morning. I would love to have him in the squad.

Best celebrations still coming from Freddie Burns, fairly sure he's still celebrating.

Lovely sesason and great posting/chatting with everyone here.

Really  looking forward to next season. Will be interesting to see if we add a few more to the squad. Also really hope that the Wasps Media Team take a page out of the likes of Quins notebook and publish behind the scenes content for pre-season etc. They started doing it then stopped, would be great to know more about the club and inner workings etc.

I think we need to have an understanding of a few things for next year, most predominatly what are attacking plays are going to be.

We seem to rely on the ball out the back to Gopperth or Spink from Atkinson/Gopps and Leicester read it everytime. We have to figure out what we can do to make this less easy to read.

I have to be honest, i have to disagree partially with the a few posters. Defensively we have been extremely good but the attack just looks toothless. We just don't seem to know what we are supposed to be doing or lines we are supposed to be running.

Looking forward to next year but our attack needs some serious work as the number of key handling mistakes and poor execution in attacking positions really cost us today and realistically over the whole season.

Going to be a tough game, as hugely talented squad at Lyon.

Bamba, Chiocci, Kodela, Taofifenua x 2, Geraci, Kpoku, Lambey, Cretim, Bastareaud, Goujon, Taufua, Coulloud, Doussain, Sopoaga, Barassi, Ngatai, Nakaitaci, Tuisova... gonna have to man up across the board.

100% no sympathy.... part of a club that flouted the rules on salary cap and probabely led to us and others not achieving things we may have achieved. Get in the Bin Alex moaning about salary caps.

One interesting fact is he's a lock/flanker... could mean he's a natural replacement for Fifita?

Sad to see Symons has announced retirement aged 32 at Quins.

Real shame as hugely talented enforcer who was a cracking player for us.

Well one of them is a very young looking Simon McIntyre (baby face)

And actually on top of that the first is Charlie Davies (welsh scrum half)

IF anyone i'd take Francis, think he offers a decent amount and could be a great squad signing.
