Agreed. Someone has made a fair amount from it I suspect...

Word on the street is that Birmingham City FC are now permanently resident at the EPIC.

So now any future Wasps doesn't even have a training centre to be based from.

And start again

Arundell will probably go to Brizzle, I mean if Elliott Daly is on the bench for Salarycens then surely they don't need another back 3 player?
But when money is no object having Daly and Arundel on the bench means they aren?t playing against you in 2/18 fixtures nor in the semi or final.

The only issue is what is the price to get a top international sitting on a bench and happy not starting more than 4 or 5 times a season.

It'll be less than the nothing he'll be earning on the dole once Irish go under.

Will they be stripped of their P Share like we were?

I'm not convinced Nick was the issue.

That's exactly what we need right now. Another person who doesn't know what actually happened, using their outdated connection to the club to rehash the same old b******t just to hear their own voice.

I'm sure that's really helped everyone, thanks Chris.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: Derek makes an appearance

Sorry but how can Derek not be responsible?

He was in charge when Wasps went bust.
If someone he employed has messed up, the buck still stops with Derek, he was in charge.

If a ship runs aground the Captain is responsible, whether someone else did that actual mistake or not.

But Derek wasn't the captain, he was the owner of the shipping line. He might have chosen where the ship was gonna sail, and maybe helped appoint a captain, but he wasn't at the helm of that ship.

Pudsey has agreed with someone on Twitter who has made a rather disgusting remark about what he?d like to do to Derek and the RFU, so not everyone appears to be giving Derek the benefit of the doubt for now.

Probably to be expected considering Derek is taking Dawbarn to court, and Dawbarn is heavily involved in the group that pays Pudsey's wages.

Would really like to hear from Derek.
He will be a guilty party for me until he speaks. An explanation or apology will do, just not silence, which feels incriminating. I am sure he has a story to tell which puts him in good light but 167 people lost their jobs and thousands their club, silence is not the way.

I've spoken to him about this, it is coming. But it is connected to the current legal proceedings so he has to be very careful not to prejudice the case. I think it's fair to say he wants the truth out as much as anyone.

Agreed. There's very little in English rugby that appeals any more.

Robert Dawbarn is doing important work to get new Wasps up and running at the moment.

May have been a little premature...

In the cases of Irish & Warriors what I cannot understand is why any "investors" from the US or otherwise, who don't have a personal relationship to the club, would want to put money into saving it?
Warriors have land assets, but these are tied up in a 5 year restriction.
Irish, have pretty much no assets.

Why, would any sane person that isn't in love with either club want to sink their cash into them?

Irish own Hazelwood, their training centre, in Sunbury. There's a fairly decent sized main building with offices, a gym, and space to run events, as well as at least five pitches.

On a quick flick through, it appears a fair bit of the website has been updated.

Am I missing something?

I find it interesting that the RFU are insisting on there being a DoR, when we did perfectly well without one for some time.
