Interesting thought but can't see Dai making comment on such a thing even if asked.

If, however, both Dai and Nick are there then...

Sadly, whilst he (Gaby) did do some god stuff, his passing was abysmal.

I COULD see the ball was dotted down. JP was, sadly, in the wrong place. He wasn't THAT poor, but on the crucial decisions, Wasps have reason to say, this time, 'We wuz robbed.'

About time JP retired.

After the last match he was ref at the Ricoh, he came to have a coffee at The Mill afterwards - I was in front of him in the queue. He joked "I'm getting too old for this", but I now think he was actually making a factual statement.

Firstly I like the tone on this forum - like DW used to be back in the early part of this millenium.

With regards to software have you considered phpBB?

It's what powers Planet Rugby, and a load of other fora/forums.

I have used it for a few forums associated with websites I have written, and only problems I have had were due to problems at the web hosting sites, not the software/mySQL. (e.g. when upgrading version finding the web host hadn't  the new version of PHP properly).

The only downside is that most phpBB forums look like Planet Rugby, although It can be made to be more like this board.

I used to have several sites running phpBB, but they did something odd to it in an update and it was far less usable,  That was several years ago though so it may have improved significantly.

I also used to run a couple of sites using vBulletin, but when they released v5 they essentially killed it.  Most people seem to be using Vanilla forum, or Xenforo at the moment.  But neither of them are cheap.

I think the phpBB problems arose at round about version 2.4 - I had the same problem when I updated a test forum, but luckily decided not to change the live versions until they introduced version 3, which seems stable enough - at least I've had no problems 8).

vBulletin is now supposed to be better, but like many users have not been back since the update fiasco.

I also have a website that uses an ASP forum, that has never had any maintenance/updates since 2008, and is still running fine (would you believe runs an Access 2007 backend :o), with several hundred members, and up to 500 post/day. Only problem it is on a Windows server.

At one point I heard (on the reflink) one of the officials (the TMO I think) call Zhvania an @rsehole. The TMO had told Jackson he needed to have a talk with the 'Black #1' (black was how they referred to Wasps). Jackson said that he had and mumbled something like, 'not that it will make any difference' (or words to that effect), then the TMO replied. I think it was whilst Faf was lining up a kick at goal in the first half.

Your reflink must be clearer than ours, because a couple of us were listening by reflink, and neither of us heard that. I agree about the "not make a difference" quote though.

Read somewhere (I think it might have been CovLive) was that SISU were thinking of Nuneaton Boro - only to be then told by their owner that it wasn't going to happen...

The Nuneaton ground is owned by owner of another EFL club (Macclesfield?), so EFL wouldn't allow it as a "conflict of interest".

Just on BBC news the EFL have written to CCFC that they must let them know about next season by first week of March.

Jonathan Sexton  - you heard it here first ;D

EFL "only" have jurisdiction over the Championship and Leagues one and two.

It is the Premiership that Spurs have, not much, to worry about.

Next highlights are up on the interweb.. U18's v Falcons

Good grief..

What was the final score?

Probably not.  A different organisation (Football Conference) but I was dealing with Margate FC and they were given every opportunity to comply; deadlines were extended and extended again, then after they demolished their stadium they were allowed to switch grounds to Maidstone at short notice and about 40 miles from here.  I would expect the EFL to extend the same to CCFC, so whilst I wouldn't expect them to be playing in Coventry (unless the legal situation changes), I would expect them to be playing in the EFL (probably at Northampton).

However EFL have stated they must play in Coventry - which basically means Ricoh or Cov. Rugby.

I would imagine that if they submit stadium details late they could start with a points deduction and/or fine. However the EFL will probably then relent and allow them to play outside Cov.

If they haven't submitted stadium details before fixtures are ready to be drawn-up they will be relegated out of the EFL.

Parking one on the pitch is downright careless, it may get scratched or dented

It wasn't meant to be parked there - The satnav just took it there and it then broke down

Can't believe that Wasps don't do that with Land Rovers
