No need for the playoffs then if international players are available all season.

With only 10 teams anyway, playoffs are utterly pointless. It is nearly half the league!

It means they don?t need bigger squads which might be good for the money men but it does mean the the 2nd and 3rd replacements won?t get starts and academy players will get even fewer opportunities.

Not the justification, but as rational an argument as anyone could put forward other than the glaringly obvious commercial reasons for it.
