TBT,
Not quite. Dislocated collar bone and damaged shoulder caused by the onboard fire extinguisher popping out of its mounting and flying around the cockpit! Oh, and a shellacking from my wife!

TBT,
That's quite true but, in the scenario you mention, the track marshals hang out oil-warning flags and, after that race would clear it up before the next one. There were indeed lots of safety measures in place. Alas, they didn't stop me destroying my car against the pit wall at Silverstone!

Following on from LWasp's comment, I recall that when I applied to the Motor Sports Association for a racing licence, I had to sign any number of disclaimers exhonerating both the MSA and the race meeting organisers from any liability whatsoever. I signed all of them in the full knowledge that any injury I suffered was down to me and my talent - or rather lack of it.

Hopwood,
Well, I appreciate the time you take to post the newspaper articles. Thank you.

On the England "team" - or should that be a random selection of EQP players Jones has drawn out of a hat - I don't hold out much hope.

For me, the sooner the RFU throw Jones out, the better.

Wasps Rugby Discussion / Re: So what's the thinking on the Bond?

B-i-n-D,
I think it's as much to do with the perceived value of the long leasehold (and the supposed dilapidations) as that'll be the security for the borrowing.
As far as the dilaps are concerned, it is the industry norm that they are totally overstated by the surveyor in question. A client of mine just had one such surveyor in to assess the dilaps on a premises of his on which the lease was allowed to expire. The surveyor came up with £160k which was absolutely nuts but he accepted £40k from the bank who had closed that branch.

According to A J Bell website, it was apparently delisted shortly after the maturity date of 13 May, that is to say some time before 20 May. From that date, they were quoting no price.

I recall a huge break down the middle he made in the St Valentine's Day massacre. Each of his strides at full pace was at least 4 mtrs!

Anybody else had this issue?

InbetweenWasps,

A J Bell have indeed sent out an email today confirming the repayment at par on 13th May.

I hope Jamma doesn't leave. He's top notch at running our line-out and stealing the opposition's ball.

If he is going, I hope the arrival will be as good in the line-out.

Jac A,
Thanks for the stats on Stooke. That's made my mind up to vote for Stooke. I shall vote for Shields in the "Best captain of the season".

I agree it's between Stooke and Shields. Before I finally make my mind up, does anyone have the stats for how many minutes Stooke has played this term? It has seemed like he's played all 80 minutes of every game. I know that's not true but, whatever the truth, he's played a hell of a lot. And played very well too.

Tried to renew my season ticket just now and, having put all the info in, the system told me repeatedly that I had missed something. I hadn't.
Anyone else had that problem?
I tried ringing the Ticket Office but was told I was 9th in the queue!
